I was always the woman who focused on everyone else's needs, all while neglecting my own.

'm the total opposite of the therapists they show on TV or in the movies. You know, the ones who ask, “how does that make you feel?” and only speak in dull voices that would make anyone fall asleep. 

 

I am personable, genuine, and laid-back.  I’m known to those around me as the enthusiastic but warm personality that makes it easy to talk about anything, which makes me a pretty good fit to be a therapist.

SOMETHING YOU SHOULD KNOW:

I've been racking up alllll the life experience the last few years.

IT'S BEEN HARD, AND IT'S MADE ME AN EVEN BETTER THERAPIST.

If I'm being honest, life was pretty easy for me until I was in my mid-20s.

Until then, it was the run-of-the-mill stuff - stress from perfectionism in school, crappy relationships, and difficult family dynamics.

When I was 28, I lost my mom due to a very rare blood disease.
Teaching me what true grief is like,

and how much the little things don't matter.

2 weeks after losing my mom, I was severanced by my part-time corporate job that provided me financial stability and health insurance while I built my practice.
Teaching me how to trust yourself during adversity.

My husband and I struggled with infertility and did IVF to have a baby.

Teaching me vulnerability & the importance of your support system.

​

I had a traumatic birth, the kind that the L&D floor talks about the next day.

Teaching me that everyone's experiences & emotions are valid.

​​

I became a mom, without my mom physically here to guide me.

Teaching me that there will always be good days and bad days.

And that worrying about the future only steals you from the present.

So now I take all my life nuggets I've learned along the way, combine them with my expertise, and pass them along to you through therapy.
